I was always told I had the ‘gift of the gab’ growing up and that I was a ‘chatterbox’, but never in my wildest dreams did I anticipate that gift leading to interviews with some of Australia’s greatest authors, including Kathy Lette, Matthew Reilly and Heather Morris, just to name a few. My proudest moment (other than my daughter winning her first You Can Do It Award at school) was being ‘in conversation’ with Australia’s former Governor-General, General Sir Peter Cosgrove in 2020 for Frankston City Libraries and Mornington Peninsula Library Service.

At the heart of everything I do is my love of words. I’m a public relations specialist with an emphasis on writing, media relations and outside the box ideas. I love connecting communities, fostering a positive workplace culture and empowering high performing teams.

I’m always working on a new creative project, while rarely finishing the last! My creative writing is slowly progressing when I have time off and I look forward to one day holding my very own romance novel (or book of essays, it hasn’t quite decided what it wants to be just yet) and children’s picture book in my hot little hands. I found out in 2019 that Keith Urban gives really good hugs and in winter you’ll generally find me in the Melbourne Cricket Club cheering on the mighty Pies with my six year old!

I have more than 15 years public relations, emergency media, community engagement and event management experience across Government, corporate and the not-for-profit sectors. Including well known organisations such as VicRoads, The Country Fire Authority, General Motors Holden, local government and many other iconic brands including The Salvation Army and Ford Performance Vehicles. Your brand or campaign will always be connected to the right media outlet for maximum impact.

An emergency media response expert, I can be your spokesperson across all media outlets, or ensure your spokesperson is prepped and ready for live and pre-recorded radio, television and other media. I’ve represented organisations on ABC Radio and 3AW both live and in pre-recorded news grabs during emergency situations reporting on traffic conditions and conveying vital information to the traveling public.

I love it when the adrenaline starts pumping during a crisis or emergency – the phones are ringing and everyone has their job to do. That’s when I thrive.

I have extensive event management experience, having worked on numerous vehicle launches for Holden Australia and Ford Performance Vehicles around Australia.

Giving Back

I led the Country Women’s Association of Victoria Inc. on the Mornington Peninsula as Group President from early 2017 until mid-2019. This volunteer role brought together more than 250 women across 10 branches; ensuring they were valued and engaged members of the prestigious organisation. Over this time I opened two new night branches, engaging a younger membership demographic.

I was the founding President of the Peninsula Belles Branch of the Country Women’s Association of Victoria Inc. and served for two years, before taking on the Group President role for the region. I am once again President for the Peninsula Belles Branch and also Publicity Officer for the Mornington Peninsula area.

I enjoy fundraising and crafting to support the betterment of women, children and families. I’m also very grateful for the friendships the CWA has fostered with women right across Victoria. We each do our little bit to make a big difference and believe me, women are strongest when we support and lift each other.

Lifelong Learning

In 2020 I was accepted as a Deakin University MBA candidate.

My attention to detail, ability to quickly adapt to new environments, and strong organisation and communication skills are complemented by my Bachelor of Business and Commerce and Bachelor of Communication from Monash University, and Advanced Diploma of Business from RMIT Business. I am fully accredited with IAP2 for best practice community engagement.
