During COVID-19 author talks and tours with libraries and book stores were either cancelled or very quickly diverted to an online platform. In a communications and engagement role in public libraries, my experience was no different, however I found that authors were generally wanting to talk to someone, rather than give a talk to a screen. So, my role very quickly changed and my team and I were facilitating in conversation events with authors and well known Australians weekly, if not multiple times a week!
I have absolutely LOVED this experience. Not only for the chats I get to have with some pretty prominent people, but also for the relationships I’ve built behind the scenes to become a trusted publicity partner. I’ve also enjoyed seeing my libraries family thrive and expand their skill set as a result of these opportunities.
Below you’ll find a sample of my interviews. You’ll also find all the FrankTALKS with Frankston City Libraries here.
I’d love to chat about how we can work together to get the most from your special guest with a tailored ‘in-conversation’ event. Drop me a line!
